4th of July 2025 — Street Dance July 3rd, Fireworks July 4th
Creston's Legendary 4th Is Back
Creston's Independence Day celebration — one of the most celebrated in southwest Iowa — returns for another year of street dancing, community pride, and fireworks that punch well above the city's weight class.
The Schedule
July 3rd — Street Dance
The celebration begins the evening before Independence Day with a street dance in Creston. Live music fills the air as the community comes together to kick off the holiday in classic Creston fashion.July 4th — Full Day Celebration
Daytime activities build toward the main event — a fireworks display that consistently draws praise from visitors as one of the best in the region. Visitors from northern Missouri and across Iowa make the trip specifically for Creston's show. Why Creston's 4th Is Special
In a city of 7,500, the name "10,000 Crestonians" captures something real — this celebration pulls people home and pulls visitors in. Former residents return every year. New visitors become regulars. It's the kind of Independence Day that reminds you what the holiday is actually about.
Free and Open to All
Both the street dance and the fireworks are free public events. Come early, bring your lawn chairs, and plan to stay for the show.
