Park-to-Park Paved Trail
Nearly 9 miles of paved trail connecting city to wilderness
About the Park-to-Park Trail
Creston's signature outdoor amenity is the nearly 9-mile paved Park-to-Park Trail connecting McKinley Park in the city to the campground at Green Valley State Park. Open to cyclists, runners, walkers, and inline skaters.
The Route
The trail winds through beautiful southwest Iowa countryside, passing through residential neighborhoods and transitioning into open prairie and woodland as it approaches Green Valley State Park. The grade is gentle throughout — accessible for all fitness levels.
Beyond the Pavement
An additional 6 miles of grass-surface trail continues from the Green Valley campground around Green Valley Lake — suitable for walking and mountain biking. Combined, you can cover 15 miles of continuous trail.
